Thank you for visiting Desert Elite Volleyball Club. Our club season currently runs from December to early June with tryouts during mid November. We are not currently planning on forming any teams during summer and plan on starting again during tryouts in mid November. However, we are planning on doing sand and indoor camps over the summer months and a pre-club warmup camp before tryouts in November. Welcome To Desert Elite Volleyball Club
Desert Elite was established in the Las Vegas Valley in the fall of 2004 for the purpose of exposing more girls of all ages to the game of volleyball. Our teams are formed from girls located all accross the Las Vegas Valley including Henderson, Las Vegas and North Las Vegas. Currently we have six teams competing in tournaments locally as well as nationally. All of our travel teams compete in the Southern California Volleyball Association region. Our 14's, 15's, 16's and 18's participate in the qualifiers and mandatory tournaments in the Southern California area. We currently offer training, development and competition for girls ages 11 through 18. Desert Elite 15s Team
Congratulations to our Desert Elite 15s team led by head coach Ed VanMeetren and assistant coach Brandon Thomas. Their team battled it out at the largest volleyball tournament in the world, Volleyball Festival, from June 29th through July 3rd in Reno,NV. They finished 19th finish with an overall 10-5 record in the 15s division, which was comprised of 113 teams. Their losses coming from Kern River 15 elite (finished 2nd overall), Canada Prospects (finished 14th overall), and Absolute 15-1 (finished 18th overall). Overall, a fantastic finish from the only team from Las Vegas to participate in the tournament.
